Easter Treasure Hunt

I've been on this planet for long enough to know that Easter isn't easter without a proper Treasure Hunt!!

So was glad to hear from Opa Wolfram that the Easter bunny knew well where to find me and had a treasure hunt organised for me in the garden... 

This is one big egg lying on the cold snow!!

And a bag of sweets hiding behind the bush!!  

Another big egg... wwooooooo!!! Looks what I found inside!!

I must have collected a hundred hidden treasures in the garden.. i hope they weren't meant for any of the rest of the kids in Opi and Opi's block!

Anyway... they are mine now and I'll eat them all!!

Trip to Leipzig with Omi, Opi, Andre & Franzi!!

What a lovely occasion to squeeze Oma, Omi, Franzi, Andre and the 3 of us in our Nissan Qashquai and drive off to Leipzig for the day!!

Car Museum in Zwickau

After a lovely greek lunch with Opa and Omi we dropped Omi home and then went off to the Car Museum... Zwickau being the headquarters of the historical Trabant car made out of little more than cardboard and with which Opa, Omi and Mamma used to travel hundreds of kilometres on their holidays to Bulgaria!!

We saw all sorts of fancy old cars in there... this one was my favourite and not only because I could sit inside and have a go!!

 

Those pedals are still a notch too far away for me!!

Easter in Zwickau!

Seems like no matter where we go we are invaded by snow everywhere!! Indeed Zwickau was just as cold as Zurich with plenty of snowfalls pretty much throughout our stay!

Cold and wintery weather aside (although worth mentioning as indeed the coldest Easter on my watch!) , Omi & Opi welcomed us as always with plenty of attentions!

For starters it was obvious Opa was keen on eating some eggs over the weekend ;-)

Opa introduced me to lots of decorations we could use for the occasion...

...and then later on we all had a go at painting the eggs!!

As always I got my share of presents from Opi & Omi (yes, I know, I am a very spoiled grandson indeed!)....

...and the best of all was my new Darth Maul sword from Star Wars!!! It makes noises and glows in the dark!!! Look!!

Mamma's Manicure

I love how well Mamma takes care of every little detail!!!  Here she is trimming my nails after a full weekend of action!!

And Baby Girl it is!!

...don't ask me what we are looking at and what exactly gave Alex the doctor the conviction that the baby is a girl!!

I'll believe it when I see it!!

Last Ski of the season

Conditions for skiing are strill tremendous and to maximise on my ski and boot rental we decided to go for one more morning and picked Hock Hybrig to do the honors of showing us its heights, views and slopes!!

Running to Dadda...

... sun or rain, fog or snow... it's always a joy to run to re-embrace my dearest Dadda after a day at kindergarden!!!!

Final run before our last lunch on the mountains and indeed what also turned out to be another panic moment due to an allergy attack for reasons we still cannot explain...

Fries cooked in peanut oil?  Pizza with sheep cheese on it?  Mamma having had a hot chocolate in the morning and passing on allergenic agents onto me?  We'll never know.. but we did learn that on this occasion the cortisone tablets restored my condition quite rapidly!  I was well again after 30 stressful minutes for me and everyone around me!!

Was nice to get back home and cuddle up with Zio Leo while we watched a bit of telly!!

Finally back on skis in Courchavel!!

Feeling good again and happy to hit the slopes again... this time we chose to go to nearby Courchevel which part of the crew had explored in previous days and deemed appropriate for me to get going again!!

The several weeks of base training in Oberiberg paid dividens immediately.  I felt in my element right away!!

After a few runs we had a lovely lunch in town with Mamma who won the gold medal for patience this week, having had to cope with her own health and morning sickness, not being able to ski at all and also having to take good care of me while I was ill!  Bless her!!

... once back at the chalet Zio Fabio and Zia Clare had a fabulous delayed Xmas present for me... my first pair of football boots!!

Ski week Indoors!

... wasn't quite imagining to have to spend a chunk of my ski week at home... and with everyone busy skiing and having a good time on the pistes all day I was lucky to have my dearest Mamma next to me comforting me and looking after me at all times!!

Here is a tribute to Mamma and I!!!

Of course with the aid of drugs and the excitement of seeing everyone show up again at the Chalet, I had to make the most of the time I had with their company hoping to get back on track the soonest possible..

I love chatting to Maia over dinner!!!

...and have her read me stories in Italian!

...of course not as much as sticking fingers up my own nose!!

Indeed, we were all cuddling and having good times within seconds!

Pommes & Fever...

Day one on the slopes was a delightfully sunny day... shame I wasn't feeling too well and in fact decided to skip putting my skiis on until around lunchtime just before heading for lunch with Maia & the rest of the crew....

Fish & Chips!!  My favourite!!

One back at the chalet my form deteriorated rapidly... I could hardly stay awake while watching Mary Poppins with Maia...

And soon after that I had to declare KO!!  I had high fever and undoubtedly unable to attend my ski lessons the next day!!

Finally Meribel!!!

Finally our long awaited for ski week with all our favourite people!!  Zio Leo, zio Fabio & Clare, Chiaretta, Andrea, Maia & Teo, and Diego all together under one lovely cosy roof!!

Chalet Champetre was to become our house for a whole week!!!  No kindergarden, no Mamma and Daddy at work.. all of us together on holiday for a whole week again!

Our first evening was spent catching up with everyone and having a nice meal together before huddling around the warm fireplace....

After Teo & Maia were put to bed and suddenly the evening went dead as everyone sneaked behind their Apple devices...

...good job zio Leo hadn't fallen asleep yet!!

Packing up for Ski Week!

...we can't forget zio Leo's snowboard boots!!
