Zurich Zoo

... you can never say "NO" to visiting zoos although Dadda is getting incrementally sick at the scene of the endangered species crammed into small spaces.. all in all actually it appeared like these animals were in reasonable shape.. except the camels perhaps.. they looked a little scruffy but then I've never seen them in the wild so couldn't really judge...

... ponies of course are always the main attraction.. basic but proper ponies are the big deal for me!

... mind you.. those big elephants back there are also pretty fascinating... can't wait to get on top of one again!

Cuddling Goats at Hoch Ybring

... a lovely day to rent a car and take a trip out exploring the mountains around Zurich... so off we went to Hoch Ybring just under an hour from home...

... the view was amazing and put me straight in the right mood!

... look at those goats up on that mountain.. can we go and see them?!!

... we stopped in a mountain hut that was extremely child and animal friendly.. this was basically a farm on a mountain with lots of toys and games to keep little energy bombs like me busy all day...

.... I was jumping literally through the entire lunch!!

... and then took on the tallest slide I had ever confronted!

... there were ponies and horses of all kinds which we could get close to and stroke with no problems...

... and finally we managed to get close to those cute goats up on the hill...

... "mili mili" Mamma would say.. and indeed I did and the goat just couldn't help but stay!

... you are a cute little creature.. can we take you home I wonder!?

... I just couldn't get enough of the creature but time came for Mamma and Dadda to take me away...

... and all in all it was just another lovely day!

Stevie in London

... we haven't had a chance to get back in Zurich and we have a guest come see us already.. Steevie is on his way to Gstadt to hike with a few friends and decided to pop round for a day to hang out with us!!

A great occasion to go out and celebrate with a pizza and the Miracle restaurant in Seefeld recommended by Claudine...

... the next morning Stevie and I were like best buddies..

... then we were off to the lake and killing some time sharing jumping tricks... 

... check this one!

Joyd and Helene tie the knot

... the big event of our London stay was Joyd and Helene's wedding... the day was sunny and warm and the venue (The Grove) was really amazing...

 ... Mamma and Clare were in good form showing off their outfits....

... within minutes the ceremony was over and Joyd and Helene had just promised each other forever love and loyalty!

... that was terrific news as I was becoming a little frustrated sitting silently in my seat and was delighted to go and join the quartet outside....

... while the newly weds were having their pictures taken...

... here is Joyd with his proud Mum & Dad...

...as always Fabio couldn't hold his drinks and started making a fool of himself before lunch was even served... Clare and Carolin tried containing his outbursts to an extent... but then came the highlight of the event...

... the starters were served and I nibbled on some feta cheese that was tucked under some rocket salad and some cheeky walnuts that were on the same plate too... before I could taste the bloody cheese my face swelled up entirely and I could hardly see out of my left eye!!  What a pain!

...luckily that didn't impair my mood too much and I continued having a cracking day with Fabio and some of the other kids.. (here is Pippo and his little one)...

... eventually the drinks and my higher energy levels caught up with Fabio and he was knocked out for the day... and the sun hadn't even set! 

... so we stayed on for the wedding cake... 

... and the first dance... and then called it a day!

Golfing atThe Grove

... after all that home training we finally hit the real course and what better place to start than at The Grove in North West London!  Thanks to Joyd and Helene's weekend wedding event I got access to the glamorous resort to hit my first few balls...

A special thank you to my Caddie Fabio to start with... very patient in carrying my golf clubs...

... soon the sun was just a little too much so we sought for some shade and a little kick about with Joyd and his Daddy....

... and a go at the puzzle with Mamma...

... but then I couldn't resist so I had to get back out there running through the lovely fountain and water feature areas...

... to join Fabio back on the 18th hole where I had no problems whatsoever slotting the ball home.. 

...so just as I got a hang on my swing...

... Mamma and Dadda wrapped me up in a car seat and put me in Fabio's car where (with slight initial desparation...) Fabio drove me back to his place while Mamma and Dadda prolonged their stay at the venue for evening drinks and some fancy dinner...
