... the warm and sunny season is behind us now and it's getting a little chilly out there... no better excuse than staying in this morning baking an apple cake with Mamma...

Around the Zurich lake with F&C

Another glorious day out there.. no better opportunity than getting out there on the bikes and taking our friends for a nice lunch and then around the lake!!

We started off with lunch at Fisch Stube to celebrate an early birthday for Zia Clare! 

the setting is really quite nice and the sun was doing a fabulous job for a mid September day!

Here i am doing my lion roar!!  Very much obsessed by Alex at the moment, the main character of the Madagascar movie!!

After lunch I spent some time teaching Fabio some football technique... how to strike a ball keeping my head down to keep the ball on the floor...

... this one shows me hitting the ball using my laces... take notes Fabs!

....to make up for my lessons Fabio taught me a few drinks with a beer bottle that may turn in useful when I grow a little older!!

And good effort on that bike.. you should be happy I let you do all the pedalling today!!  Keeps you in shape!

Babysitting Fiene

... Fiene's mum had to go in for a scan today.. she is about to give birth to another baby!

So this morning I looked after her for a while... some special Roberto love and care!

In Emmenthal with Fabio & Clare

It's great to have Fabio & Clare over again... can never quite get enough of them!

...we capitalised on a lovely sunny day to make our way out to the Emmenthal region to check out some cheese!  

Boy do know their stuff out here!!

... after endless laughter at lunch and with Dadda at the steering wheel en route to Lucerne the guests and I took a well deserved power nap in the back!

... I almost had to pull Fabio out of the car but once out there it was well worth it!  Lucerne is such a lovely town!!

...waiting for Fabio & Clare to come and see us for the weekend, Mamma and I met Fin & his mum by the lake for a couple of hours in the sunshine... and getting a little bit closer!!

Tino's Report Card

I could tell I made my Dadda proud as he picked me up today greeted by my carers who told him how good I was throughout the day...

I listened up well when teachers were telling us what to do.  I told other children not to run with their toothbrushes in their mouthes and not to bite other children either.  And I tidied up all our toys and bits and pieces when we finished playing with them.  

Basically I was just a great boy today!!

Meeting Bertie in York

How lovely to go back to York!!

We set off bright and early from Zurich where Joyd picked us up and delivered us straight to a lovely gastropub in the countryside!!! 

Great to see Helene and baby Bertie who is growing up so well!!

...and rather fascinating to see Joyd playing the Daddy role so well and tucking his sleeves up to please Bertie in any possible way!!

He also had time to mingle with me when he was given a chance as we played outside 

but nobody could beat me climbing on the wall and jumping off like Humpty Dumpty!!

A special treat to kids and parents today... we could have lunch together at kindergarden!!  Here is Mamma joining me at the table with Lionel!!

The power of childhood

... is to dictate orders to grown ups...

...and see them sit or lie down in unusual ways!!

Jucker Farmart

What a lovely to surprise it was when we turned up at the Jucker Farmart!!

The was a real pumpkin exposition with items of all colours, sizes and flavours!!

... and even better they made enormous creatures made entirely out of pumpkins!!

Most of them obviously inspired by the recent olympics!!

Here's another majestic display of a man on a horse!!!  Pretty impressive huh?

Indeed, as a farm, we did find the usual cuddly goat we could pat and interact with!!  

What I enjoyed best though were the stacks of hay we could climb...

... and jump on and off of non stop!!

Even Nonno joined in and had a go at it!!

Then we went off raspberry picking!! How fascinating that these jummy fruits grow on plants!! I got the hang pretty quickly and with all the grown ups adventuring down here I had all the best picks available at my height!!

...from time to time we were greeted by historical aircrafts flying just over our heads and producing some impressive manoeuvres!!

Just before going back home we discovered a whole area made of labyrinths which we could run through!!  Not an easy task you know!!

What a great afternoon indeed!!!
