An Unusual Christmas Day

Considering it's only my 5th Christmas I can't really say I am clear as to whether we have a real Christmas "routine" going in the family.. twice in London with uncle and Grandparents, once in Thailand riding Elephants, once sledging in Davos (Switzerland) and this time flying off to Disneyworld in Orlando!!

Good thing is that Santa made it to Stevies' house and I got my little Mr. Incredible man, a Jungle Book book and a letter from Santa indicating that something will be waiting for me back home...

We got up at an insane hour to make our 6am flight from Newark to Orlando...

Here are the three of us comparing our Converse Xmas gifts picked up in NYC!

Eventually we made it to our Disney Movies Resort just footsteps away from Disneyworld... and great news.. our room was in the Toy Story sector of the hotel with giant sized Woody and Buzz Lightyear!!

Through Woody's door and bedroom was the way to the pool!!

Very much fancy going for a dip!

Brrr... it's cooooold!!  Good job it's nice and mild out here!!

Christmas in Orlando is no turkey, crackers and panettone but that's OK!  A fat burger and chips will do the job quite nicely!!   Very much enjoyed the Planet Hollywood experience and tomorrow we're off to the Magic Kingdom!!

Merry Christmas Everybody!!

Xmas Eve in NYC

... BANG!!! Wide awake after a great night sleep and ready to rock and roll again!

MIDTOWN!

Lots of fascinating creatures everywhere... New York looks so nicely decorated for Christmas!!

this place reminds me of the scene from Madagascar where Alex the Lion gets battered by the old lady... oh yes!  This is the Grand Central Station!

We couldn't miss a visit to the FAO Schwarz store to pick up a new "Kuchel Tier"... my new doggy called Hully!!

After lunch we couldn't miss out a trip to the Rockfeller Centre and it's huge Christmas Tree and Skating Rink...

Here is Mamma and I again (same place) but different angle!!

While we were there... Good ol' Steve had organised a trip to the top of the Rock.. right at the top of the Rockfeller Center tower....

The view from the top was breathtaking!

Such a big city and sooo many huge buildings to observe from above!!

There is a chance I can see my buddy Max in Switzerland from up here too.. let's have a look!!

Then down again and we dived into the stores for a last bit of shopping... great excuse to find a couch with Mamma and charge up my batteries before heading off to Radio City...

We're in for a Christmas Spectacular show!!

Awesome.. my first show in 3D!!!

To wrap up a great day we headed off to celebrate Xmas with a lovely dinner at Wolfgang's stakehouse in Tribeca...

... once again, all the excitement and the jet lag took it's toll rather early... doesn't seem to have stopped Mamma and Dadda from having a lovely meal...

...and got us back home well in time to get a bit of sleep hoping Santa Claus had the right address to fulfil my wishes!!!!

NYC - Another Day of Sightseeing

Another frosty morning in NYC... this time at the courtesy of Steve & Carey we are staying in their flat as they've left town with their respective families!!

The view from the front door!!

Then off to Hyde Park for a stroll... still very cold but at least we have a beautiful sun enlightening our day!

Exploring Hyde Park is loads of fun...

....and trying some jumping tricks on these rocks is such fun!!...

1...

2....

and hops!  3!!

Strolling with Mamma on a peaceful morning is priceless!

A lovely photo opportunity!!

Then off to the Guggenheim for the Picasso exposition!!  Quite a weird painter I must say but the museum was lovely with a windy way where I could run all the way up to the top and then back down!!!  A full tour of the museum in less than 30 minutes!!  Not sure Dadda was too happy to miss out on all of the details but nevermind.... I'm sure we'll be back some time!

We enjoyed a lovely brunch in the Guggenheim Cafe' with a complimentary bottle of prosecco offered to us by our dutch neighbours Rozen and Job.. THANKS!!

Then off to the streets again... as we stormed through tens and tens of blocks down the Upper East side... direction Brooklyn Bridge!!

We did take the subway to help us cover 50-odd blocks and give me some time for a power nap... In fact I carried on sleeping in Dadda's arms until we reach the top of the bridge when I opened my eyes to such unusual urban splendour!!!

There is a view of midtown & the Empire State Building...

And here is Dadda & I with Wall Street and Downtown in the background.. you can even see the new tower that is being erected in place of the Twin Towers...

One over the other side we had a lovely snapshot of the Brooklyn Bridge we walked over...

... and then it was Mamma's turn to carry me around Brooklyn...

Sun is setting and it's getting colder and colder out there....

...Good time to pop into a little cafe' for a warm drink and a nibble!

Then back onto the subway heading to the Converse shoes to get my new Superman Allstar Shoes!!  Cool, don't you think?

On the way home we popped into Chelsea to enjoy a proper burger and chips in a cosy diner... again crayons and paper were on the menu to help me through the waiting time!!

On the way back home I had to waive the white flag... I'm absolutely shattered... bed please!!!

Xmas Penthouse Gathering with Stevie & Carey's Family

...what a treat to be invited over to the penthouse Carey's family were staying in over Xmas in NYC!  A delightful buffet dinner in a cosy boutique hotel in the Upper West side... and what a lovely family our fiends have... great hosts and great times!!

What a welcome!

I got a lovely drawing set from Carey and lots of hugs from her too!

Here I am amongst Carey's family!!

then.. suddenly as my jet lag properly kicked in I found my second win for some crazy times with Carey's brother...  look at us having a whale of a time pulling some crazy moves out of our repertoire!!

Have some of this!!

And this one!

And more and more again!!

Eventually energy levels were drying up dramatically so time came to sit to one side...

...and let Stevie & Carey's family get together as was originally planned!!!
