Nonno e Nonna at Fisch Stube

Appena arrivati Nonno e Nonna da Roma!! Il meteo prevede acqua per gran parte della settimana che passeremo assieme e allora meglio sfruttare subito una serata tiepida per una bella cena fuori al Fisch Stube a Seefeld, a bordo lago!!

Connyland with Fiene!

Finally we made it Connyland in the Swiss region of Thurgau!  Dolphins, sea lions, parrots and plenty more entertainment for kids and grown ups too!!

Look look Fiene... look at those dolphins jumping!!!

....oh wow!! A bouncy castle too!!

And check this attraction out!! A water log ride with a SPLASH!!

And they had elephant rides too!!

Part of the fun was just spending quality time together... walking hand in hand!!

Fin's 2nd birthday!

Yippeee!!! We're off to Schindellegi (other side of the lake near Richterswil) to celebrate Fin's 2nd birthday party!!

What fun!  There were lovely children and interesting couples from all over the world for Mamma and Dadda to chat to all afternoon...

And for us kids it was paradise!! They arranged for tons of food, a clown and even a trampoline!!

these lucky buggers even have table football at home and they are half Cambodian half Polish... Dadda how come you as an Italian don't have one!?!

Personal Training

Di nuovo da Jordi a fare un altra sessione di personal training con Daddino... stavolta ci ho dato dentro anche io!!

Dal Fisioterapista con Daddino...

...mentre il fisioterapista era alle prese a fare un bel "pics" a Daddino (in realta' si trattava di dry-needling per curargli un dolorino all'inguine) ho scoperto che andare dal fisioterapista ha tutti i suoi vantaggi!!

Che fico il trampolino per fare i salti!!!

Happy Birthday Zio Leo!!

.. oggi festeggiamo lo zio Leo allo Zum Pflugstein, che per molti non dira' un granche', ma in realta' e' un meraviglioso ristorante con vista dall'alto di Erlenbach!!

Eccoci alle prese con un bel libro da colorare!!!

Mount Rigi

... our last attempt to the Rigi mountain was aborted when we attempted going with Kri a few months back partly due to the weather and partly due to a little hay fever attack...

This time a scorching 35 degree Celsius day was not going to get in our way!!  So up we went with the train (bloody expensive I must say!!)

...all the way to the very top!

....as the train dropped us off and disappeared back towards valley... we were amazed at the beauty of the view around us!!!

Lakes everywhere.. look that one down there in the distance is Lucerne!!

... and that one there to the right is Zug!

Oh look.. those two country folks look like Mamma and me!!

It didn't take long before Mamma and Dadda started wondering why they decided to bring the pram with us!!!

There was far too much keeping me busy up here!!

... we even had a delightful folk bank playing some funky tunes over lunch!!

...and the more we walked across the mountain top the more mountains and lakes would unfold before our eyes!  Quite spectacular!!

Not to mention the well equipped playground that was waiting for me!!

Berthold's in Zurich

The Bertholds came round for the weekend on their way back from they Bavarian holidays... lovely to have some quality to catch up with Levin and newborn Wolf Sebastian and enjoy another great day of sunshine!!  

Here we go down the slide into the lake!!

.. and then off we go with our braccioli to the platform on the lake!!

A run around and a kick about with Levin before heading home for lunch...

... and then into town for a nice treat in the local patisserie!!

There goes Levin whistling... he really got me going with that trick.. have been practicing myself for some time now.. perhaps I'll have learnt by the time I see him next!!

BBQ at Fiene's place

After a delightful day at the Badi we were invited over by the Wolter family, our dutch neighbors, for a yummy BBQ!!

Always a good excuse to play with my little friend Fiene! 

But the sun took it's toll on me as I embarrassingly crashed out well before sunset!!

... it doesn't feel that bad to return from holiday if you have such great facilities around you at all times and such good weather too!!  

What a wonderful day we spent at the Kusnacht Badi!!

Personal Training with Jordi

... once back from holiday we had to get back into the swing of things and get back into decent condition after some of the holiday excesses... here we are in Jordi's studio working out a little!!

Time to head back to Europe!!

... the holiday came to it's end in no time... short but intense!  Just like the return flight, right Ma?

Nati & Juanpi get married

The big moment has arrived for Nati to become a princess and to me to look like a marshmallow!!

Feeling a litte nervous and observed by a few too many eyes (300 or so people attending church today!)....

Dadda give me some words of encouragement!!

OK, I'm loosening up now.. the red carpet to the alter isn't that long after all.. I can do it!!

and then we're already in business:  Nati comes through the door with her Dad... 

...that's it!  They are husband and wife now!!

Then time to hit the club where Nati and Juanpi performed a relentless dance until the following morning!!

There were nibbles and refreshments (basically a ton of alcohol) for everybody and comfy seating for those that preferred to take it easy...

...but I far more enjoyed taking a privileged "perched" view of the dances from high above!!

Then time came for me to feel it was probably time to hit the sack.... (apparently well before the party really got into it's full swing...) 

Guess who's tired here??
